WARNING
29/05/2009
GRAPEVINE Phenological stage: flower buds
separated-blooming stage |
Mildew: |
We didn't
find new oily spots in plants from plots subjected to treatment, but they were
observed on untreated control plants (they were also detected in a plot in
which the last application was performed on 14th May). This means that there
were adequate conditions to the secondary infection, thus it must be
necessary to monitor plants in search for symptoms, in spite of the
sunny and dry weather occurring during these days.
|
Oidium: |
So far we haven't
found any symptoms of the disease, but we must increase
monitoring, since we are approaching the period in which symptoms could
appear.
|
Moths: |
Along this week the number of males captured in the traps has
remained low. Although we have found the first glomerulus, it is not
necessary to treat.
|
Mites: |
Both in
our monitoring plots and on samples received at the laboratory, we haven't
observed either mite symptoms or populations. It is not necessary to treat, but
given the environmental conditions of these days, we should monitor
plants in case mites would appear.
|
APPLE TREE |
Scab: |
Untreated
control plants showed new symptoms of the disease. Warm conditions during the
night together with dew occurrence favour disease development. It is advised to
renew the treatments in case the effect of the previous treatment is
about to end.
|
Cydia
pomonella: |
Some monitoring plots have widely exceeded the threshold of
tolerance. It is necessary to treat (unless plants are protected
by a previous treatment) to avoid any damage to the
fruit.
|
SEVERAL CROPS AND FORESTRY SPECIES |
Aphids
: |
Along this spring we are repeatedly observed several aphid
colonies both on agricultural (citrics, pip and Stone fruit trees) and
forestry species (black poplar, oaks, etc.).
Their symptoms are very
apparent in certain cases, thus it is advised to treat with registered
insecticides in case they would appear.
