Muestreo en Viveros Ornamentales para detección de Phytophthora ramorum

ABSTRACT: The alarm generated by the identification of P. ramorum in rhododendron belonging to two nurseries located in the Balearic Islands (Moralejo, E.y Werres, S. 2002) and since Galicia is an area where this acid plant is highly commercialized, the Estación Fitopatolóxica do Arriero performed a survey in 13 Galician nurseries producing ornamentals. The survey was carried out in September mainly collecting samples of plant material and soil from Rhododendron and Viburnum that were subsequently analyzed in the laboratory. In samples analyzed Phytophthora cinnamomi and Phytophora syringae were isolated. Phytophthora ramorum was not detected in any of the simples analyzed; although at present new surveys are being carried out.
